Collaborative Genealogy Research Software
Family Pursuit is an online genealogy service that allows you to
coordinate your genealogy research with others. It includes a pedigree with
the ability to add notes and sources to facts and relationships. However,
Family Pursuit is more than just a pedigree program. We focus on
the research process, providing tools to create and assign tasks, log
research progress, and share your findings with the world.
Why Family Pursuit?
It is not enough to simply share conclusions in pedigree form. True collaboration must take place at the research level where information is collected and analyzed. When family members research together they offer different expertise and thought patterns, bringing to light new information and ideas. For this reason we have spent years working closely with professional genealogists to create the tools for family members to coordinate research efforts, document research progress, and communicate successes and questions.
